Check back periodically for updates and thank you for your interest in the Baltimore Pandemic Benefit Program for Baltimore City Long-Term Care Direct Care Workers.

Care Comes First Maryland along with 1199SEIU UHWE, the Healthcare Workers Union, has been fighting, have been fighting for 2+ years for Baltimore City Homecare and Nursing Home professionals to receive a Covid benefit and now it is finally happening! So many of us worked tirelessly through the pandemic, taking care of our clients while risking our own health, often for low wages - we deserve recognition.

This Covid benefit is just one small step in our plan to win fair wages and benefits for home care and nursing home caregivers. We are pushing for all workers to come together and form unions to improve our working conditions.
